STATEMENT ON THE JIM CLARK RALLY, SCOTLAND
The British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) offers its sincere condolences to the families of those spectators killed in the tragic accidents at the Jim Clark Rally on Saturday 31 May 2014.
Derek Warwick, President of the BRDC added: “I was devastated to learn of the loss of life and injury in the incidents at the Jim Clark Rally. We all love motor sport for its excitement and thrills, but for lives to be lost is an utter tragedy. I am extremely conscious that there are a number of injured spectators who remain gravely ill and my thoughts and those of the entire membership of the BRDC are with them and their families at this time.”

The Club regrets to report of the death of Alaster Smith, who was elected as a BRDC Member in 1966.
