BRDC MARATHON CHARITY LUNCH - 15 APRIL 2011

8 Members of the British Racing Drivers’ Club will be running the Virgin London Marathon on 17 April 2011 in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Professional racing drivers Jamie Campbell-Walter, Peter Dumbreck, Stuart Hall, Jonny Kane , Robin Liddell, James Matthews, Andy Meyrick and Richard Westbrook have stepped up to the 26.2 mile challenge to raise funds and awareness for this extremely worthwhile charity.

Cystic Fibrosis is one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases. It affects over 8,500 youngsters, clogging vital organs with thick sticky mucus. Research into Cystic Fibrosis is at a critical stage and it is hoped that there may soon be a scientific breakthrough which will allow this condition to be something that young sufferers can live with, rather than die from.

The BRDC and Marathon Runners are hosting a Charity Lunch at Carpenters’ Hall, London on Friday 15 April. There will be a host of top names from British Motorsport attending including F1 legends, Derek Warwick, Johnny Herbert and John Watson.  TV Presenter and Cystic Fibrosis Patron Ben Shephard will be comparing the afternoon. A charity auction and silent auction will take place with the following fantastic prizes:
