Sloane Helicopters

Sloane Helicopters, who are based in Northamptonshire, the same county as Silverstone circuit, home of the BRDC, are now involved with helicopter movements at the circuit under the banner of Silverstone Helicopters and have many exciting developments in the pipeline for helicopter operations at the circuit including pleasure flights, charter, refuelling and training.

There is a natural fit between the British Racing Drivers’ Club and Sloane Helicopters as many of the attributes associated with helicopter flying are similar to those associated with racing cars.  What’s more, many BRDC Members are already flying helicopters and Sloane Helicopters look forward to encouraging many more to learn to fly with them in the future.  Their improvements to helicopter operations at Silverstone ensure that the venue is regarded as a first class flying facility in the future.

Sloane Helicopters is the UK and Ireland distributor for Leonardo (formerly AgustaWestland) and Robinson helicopters as well as offering a range of helicopter services, which include engineering, flight training and operations.

Air Charter Service

From humble beginnings in Chris Leach’s basement office in Kingston-upon-Thames in 1990, Air Charter Service has grown to become a truly global business, which provides aircraft charter solutions including private jets, helicopters, cargo aircraft and commercial airliners, along with a full-service luxury travel agency and a time critical freight division which offers services such as on board couriers.

With a family mentality still at the heart of their operations, ACS has built up an unrivalled level of experience in the world of chartering aircraft, and as a result is entrusted by thousands of clients every year, including many notable BRDC Members.

Now arranging over 30,000 flights per year from a network of offices across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, CIS, Middle East, Asia and Australasia, the company has a global presence unmatched in the air charter industry. Recently arranging a charter from its 4,000th unique IATA/ICAO recognised airport, a list which includes locations in 191 countries, ACS has a reputation for delivering even the most complex charter solutions anywhere in the world.

Starting in 2025, ACS is now also the official Private Air Charter Supplier of Silverstone and, along with their partners Helipad, will be helping to deliver the new improved heliport terminal and Turweston Helicopter shuttle during the British Grand Prix from 2025. ACS will also be improving the permanent helipad for events at the circuit throughout the rest of the year.

Despite their rags to riches story, their commitment to customer service has not faltered and remains the foundation of the business to this day.
