Strong female representation
For the first time, the BRDC SuperStars programme welcomes three female drivers.
2025 F1 Academy Rookie of the Year Ella Lloyd graduates from the BRDC Rising Star Scheme, while Ella Stevens, a multiple karting champion and McLaren Driver Development Programme member, joins her as part of the new intake. Both will compete together in F1 Academy this season.
They join Abbi Pulling, 2024 F1 Academy Champion and a leading contender for the 2026 GB3 title, marking a milestone year for female representation within the BRDC SuperStars Programme.
F1 talent ladder
Louis Sharp joins former championship-winning outfit Prema Racing for his second season in FIA Formula 3. After successive titles in British F4 (2023) and GB3 (2024), his rookie F3 campaign proved challenging, though highlighted by a strong fourth-place finish at Imola. With experience now under his belt, he will aim to establish himself as a frontrunner in 2026.
2025 Formula Regional European Champion Freddie Slater continues his rapid rise through the single-seater ranks. His debut FIA Formula 3 podium in Bahrain – scored during a one-off appearance – underlines his potential. He now steps up to a full-season F3 campaign with reigning Drivers’ Champions Trident.
After a race-winning end to his debut season, Deagen Fairclough will be looking to add the GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC title to his list of accomplishments. The former Silverstone AutosportBRDC Award winner sealed the 2024 British F4 title in convincing fashion in his second year in the series, a pattern which he will be determined to emulate in his second year of GB3.
Endurance racing in good hands
2025 European Le Mans Series Champion Oliver Gray returns to defend his title, this time competing as an official BRDC SuperStar. Elsewhere in the endurance racing scene is FIA World Endurance Championship newcomer and McLaren Motorsport GT3 Junior driver, Tom Fleming, who has enjoyed a meteoric ascent after race-winning performances in GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup & GT Open, and a strong showing in the European Le Mans Series.
Fleming will race for Garage 59, as will 2023 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award winner, Joseph Loake. Loake impressed in his first year of GT racing and now receives full McLaren Motorsport factory backing as he steps up for another GT World Challenge campaign.
Jonny Edgar and Sebastian Priaulx will both compete in both GT and prototype machinery. Edgar will race the AO Racing ORECA LMP2 – known as Spike – in the IMSA Endurance Cup while also contesting the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship with Corvette. Priaulx will line up in LMGT3 with Ford in WEC and IMSA Endurance Cup and compete in the LMP2 class of the European Le Mans Series.
FIA Formula 3 race winner, Callum Voisin, makes his switch to GT racing after winning the Porsche Carrera Cup GB shoot-out. He will begin the first of two seasons as a Porsche GB Junior driver at Donington Park in April.
These 12 drivers represent an exciting future for UK motor sport, carrying the BRDC SuperStars badge throughout 2026 and reinforcing the Club’s global standing.
Derek Warwick, BRDC Vice President
“I’m very proud of the BRDC and their commitment to help young drivers try and achieve their ambitions and dreams of becoming professional racing drivers. The BRDC SuperStars Programme has been going for almost 20 years and goes to show how important the Programme is in nurturing the next generation of British racing drivers. It was very pleasing to see the success achieved with last year’s BRDC SuperStars, and I’m excited to see how this year’s group of Great Britain’s most promising 12 drivers get on this season.”
