Browning and Gamble become BRDC SuperStars Ambassadors

FIA Formula 2 Championship race winner, Luke Browning, and Factory Driver for Aston Martin Racing, Tom Gamble, will become Ambassadors for the British Racing Drivers’ Club’s SuperStars Programme in 2026.

Luke is a member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy and a former Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award winner. He claimed the accolade after a strong year in the GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC in 2022, sealing the title during his first full-season campaign. He signed for the Williams Racing Driver Academy shortly after the start of his debut FIA Formula 3 Championship season, and spend two years in the category achieving multiple wins and podiums. In 2025, he was a championship challenger in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.

Tom joined the SuperStars programme in 2018 after winning the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. From there, he embarked on a successful career in GT and sports car racing, first winning in the LMP3 and LMP2 categories in the European Le Mans Series, before joining McLaren’s factory driver roster in 2023. At the beginning of 2025, he signed with Aston Martin Racing as a Factory Driver where he has piloted the alluring Valkyrie in the FIA World Endurance Championship as well as racing in the GTD class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

Both drivers have been part of the BRDC SuperStars Programme, Tom joined in 2018, with Luke becoming a member in 2022. As a consequence, they know only too well the benefits associated with the Club’s elite athlete programme, and the help it offers to young drivers on the cusp of turning professional.

The duo will work with the Programme’s Director, Andy Meyrick, to advise and guide the next generation of British racing drivers.

Andy Meyrick, BRDC SuperStars Programme Director

“I’m really pleased that we can enhance the Programme by bringing Luke and Tom in as Ambassadors. They demonstrate first-hand what the Programme is about, and are great role models for the current and future members of the Programme. They have both been through, very recently, what the current SuperStars are trying to do, namely become Factor Drivers, so we can only benefit from having them onboard.”

Luke Browning, FIA Formula 2 Championship race winner and Williams Racing Academy Driver

“It’s a privilege to be asked to become a BRDC SuperStars Ambassador. The British Racing Drivers’ Club has been a rock for me throughout my racing career. It has taken me from the bottom to the top. To be able to help the next generation as they come through, but also offer guidance and shed a bit of light of what it’s like to be on that journey having only recently come through the ranks myself, is great. Any help or assistance I can offer to the BRDC is something I’m happy to do, and I’m look forward to pushing future British talent forward.”

Tom Gamble, Aston Martin Racing Factory Driver

“Without the support from the SuperStars programme and the people involved, I don’t think I’d be in the position I am now. It’s great that they’re taking a new step getting Luke and myself involved as Ambassadors. It’s good for the younger drivers coming up to have a couple of people that they can talk to and get advice from that are active in racing.

“I’ve got a very close relationship with Andy and many other people in the BRDC because I’ve been a Member for seven years now. Us British drivers are very fortunate to have this Club behind us. It’s unique in motor sport, I’m really excited to be an Ambassador for the Programme and to see what the future holds.”
