BRITS NEAR TOP AT LAUSITZRING

It was another successful weekend for Members driving in the DTM as the championship made its annual visit to the Lausitzring.

Following the resurgence of the Audis at the previous round, the big question was; can Mercedes respond? The answer was convincing, as Mercedes drivers occupied all three places on the podium and much of the top ten finishers.

Paul Di Resta continued his good run with a hard fought second place, with fellow Brit Jamie Green close behind in third. Gary Paffett found some pace and secured a solid fifth place.

The weekend’s results leave Paul Di Resta in second in the Drivers Championship, some 9 points behind his Mercedes team mate Bruno Spengler . Gary Paffet is a solid third whilst Jamie Green remains very much in contention in fifth.

The Championship moves on to the famous Norisring for the next round where Audi will hope to again close the gap on the ever impressive Mercedes.
