NOTICE OF DEATH - DICK GIBSON
It is with regret that the Club has to announce the death of Life Member Dick Gibson, who passed away on 17 December 2010 at the age of 91.
Dick, who joined the Club in 1954, competed in the F2 Championship from 1953 – 1956 and in the F2 class of the World Championship in 1957 and 1958. Dick had some good results in South Africa in the late 1950s/early 1960s including wining the RAC International South African Championship Trophy in 1958 and 1959 and also raced in the pre-Tasman New Zealand races. He retired from racing in the early 1960s.
Condolences have been passed to his sons David and Tom. Dick’s funeral has already taken place.
The Club regrets to inform Members of the death of Tony Fletcher, who was elected as a BRDC Member in 2003.
