NOTICE OF DEATH - COLIN DAVIS
It is with regret that the Club has to announce the death of Life Member, Colin Davis, on 19 December 2012 at the age of 79.
Colin, who won the 1964 Targa Florio, achieved most of his international successes in sportscars. He made his competition debut in 500cc Formula 3 in 1954 and won races against many contemporaries that included Ken Tyrrell. As his career advanced he relocated to Italy and had a handful of grand prix starts in a Cooper-Maserati run by Scuderia Centro Sud.
Colin retired from the sport in 1967 and emigrated to South Africa with his wife Eva and daughter Francesca.
