NOTICE OF DEATH - BRIAN HART

It is with regret that the Club has to announce the death of Life Member, Brian Hart, on 5 January 2014 aged 77.

Brian enjoyed a successful career in single-seaters, competing in Formula Junior, Formula Three and Formula Two with the works Lotus team. He retired from racing in 1971 when his professional career initially in the aviation industry took more of his time. Brian is best known as the founder of Brian Hart Limited, his company which built developed engines and enjoyed particular success in F2, but also developed successful F1 engines also in the 1980s.

Brian joined the BRDC in 1980. Condolences have been sent to Brian’s son’s Freddie and Ben. There will be a celebration of Life at The Holy Trinity Church, Hatfield Heath, CM22 7EA on Friday 17 January at 12 noon.  The family have requested no flowers but donations can be made to Alzheimer's Research UK or North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (Kitwood Ward).
